About the Council

Overview

The Aboriginal Human Resource Council (AHRC) is a private-public, not-for-profit organization that connects Aboriginal organizations and employers to partnerships and solutions that accelerate the recruitment, retention and advancement of Aboriginal people in the Canadian labour market.

The council continues to grow and adapt its programs and services to meet the changing needs and landscape of Canada’s economic partners and stakeholders. The council’s flagship programs focus on the growing need to provide the supply (Aboriginal employment organizations) and demand (employers) sides of the workforce with partnership connections, resources and tools that will help them apply effective labour market strategies to recruit, retain and advance an Aboriginal workforce.
